The Stryker Trident Ceramic Bearing full brand launch featured a three pronged introduction that included: commercial, scientific and medical educational communication tiers. Wear performance marketing materials had to be a strong proponent of the launch to help establish the new brand and substantiate the new technology for bearing surface products (rather than metal & plastic). The Stryker Wear Performance Technologies unit or “WPT” was created to promote Stryker scientific data in a unique way that distinguished ceramics as the new premier bearing surface in the market and helped to establish Stryker as a forerunner in the pursuit of this progressive technology.
